...if you had the chance to learn any intrument?
a while ago i would've said viola or singing but i'm doing both of them now so...oboe maybe. except i know one girl who plays the oboe and she faints. don't know whether that's because she plays the oboe though!

hopefully once i'm out of the whole education system (in like 9 years time) then i'm gonna get me a trombone and teach myself! but for now the bassoon's certainly challenging enough...

Bl**^dy stupid choice. Too much to cart about, try the piccolo.

it taken me weeks to get a sound out of a flute at orchestra (during the old instrument-swapping stage when we're bored!) so god knows what a piccolo would be like! i could get a mini-trombone, if they exist...

I'd love to learn to play the piano properly one day. Or I'd love to learn how to play the viola

Nah! It's even got colours on the strings to save reading the glissandos! Heavy though, what about the jaws or 'Jews' harp? that'll fit in your pocket.

I concur. Makes an interesting addition to your musical abilities. Tone, lovely... like the flugel horn to the trumpet... not much in the jazz arena though?

I'd like to properly learn the harmonica - fits in your pocket and sounds great when really played well (although I think that applies to [almost] anything). Never been able to fathom it by simply picking it up and blowing...

Did you know musicfan that it is to draw rather than suck on the harmonica. I used to have a lovely chromatic and they are inexpensive (relatively) to buy. Fits in your pocket AND irritates your work colleagues! What more could you ask?
