i was bassoonin' it up in holland with my orchestra, forgot to tell you!
it was really great, except we had 4 concerts (one in the Westerkerk which is like the biggest church in amsterdam!) in as many days and i'm sick at the sight, smell and taste of cheese and the sound of brahms first symphony. but it was hilarious nonetheless!

on the course we slept from sort of 3am-7am. but that was our fault cos we kept having visitors in the dorm.
back on topic though, I'm glad you had a great time. and yay for playing brahms! brahms is cool, but very tricky!

All this coming & going is too much for me! glad everyone's having a good time though. Like the army, really , you know...music. Travel,to exotic places, cultures etc... without killing anyone though, just the piece of music you are playing. (only joking) Often it has to go wrong before it goes right, as we all know.

I dunno anything about how hard it is to play fast passages on the bassoon, but at that tempo, it doesn't look very nice!

they're near impossible. the first set go right through a change of register, and the second are at the bottom of the tenor register (meaning we have lots of thumb keys to press)... not v well explained. flutenboon might vouch for how hard that is.
