How can you tell if a stage is level and not leaning one way or the other?
Answer: Put the drummer in the middle so as you can tell which side of his mouth he drools out of! Once the satge is level you will get an even drool from both corners of the mouth.
Could this be applied to bassoon players?

Give me one good reason why I shouldn't find out where you live ( <cough>Bevendean<cough> ) and slap your face! ... I think the drool would flow through the bassoon 'cos you have to have a pretty tight embouchure...wouldn't work anyway

The word drumsticks reminds me of chicken legs. ;D I could imagine a drummer turning up for a gig with some chicken legs...make a bit of an oily mess though, and I'd much rather eat them...
