Maybe if someone has some flute music they want to pass on to flute of diamonds then admin could act as a go between.

Have you tried any of the playalong CDs? You can get some easy things to go with those, and they're great if you just want to forget about your pieces for a while. Also, it helps you with playing with something else. Also, I am in a organisation called Flutewise, it is good, it aims to help all flute players. It has a magazine with music in for all abilities, articles, reviews, and there are courses for all ages and abilities. Through them I played with James Galway (famous flute player) and the London Mozart Players. www.flutewise.com is the website address. I would send you some music but I gave the majority of my Grade 1-3 stuff away.

Thanks for the ideas. Flutewise sounds good. I like the idea of a cd to play along with.

Yes, CDs with books are good! Even though I am now practicing for Grade 8, it is lovely to just chill and play some light hearted pieces with CD. The only bad thing is when my CD player makes the CD stick, and so it gets stuck on a piece of a song.

It'd be funny if it got stuck on a semibreve! Even funnier if it was in the top octave...a recipe for a blinding headache for sure...

I have found that the only way to play the CD without it stopping is to play it from the computer!
It gets so annoying, you wait for a few seconds to see whether it'll move on and it just repeats! Argh!

Oh well, I don't have many CD books, only ones that came with the Flutewise book when I had flute courses with them. The thing is some of the pieces are gorgeous and it gets frustrating when the CD doesn't play!
