I was thinking about improving my trascription skills, but have no idea what song to work on! Obviously, I don't want it to be impossible - aka simple = good - but I want it to be interesting as well. Any ideas?

nope, I mean transcription: basically it's the process of listening to a tune, then writing it - and all its parts - down on paper. It sounds really easy, but it's alot more difficult, or at least time consuming, than one might think.

If you mean listening to it on CD or whatever then yes it will be difficult!
Do you have perfect pitch?
You could always try to find a simple piece with relatively few parts and have a go at that and then gradually get harder ones

That's the one! And yes, I have perfect pitch, though good relative pitch would probably be better...but which simple piece? I'm struggling to think of a simple piece which sounds any good...

this is hard... i can pick out the melody but it's really hard to pick out the other parts.
