I am doign my grade 5 in November this will be the cost: Music- 6.95 9.95 7.95 Exam fee 39.00 Piano things 36.00
Total of £99.95. I'm lucky thoughb this year because I have already got the books so, it'll "only" be £75. But that is still alot!!!! i feel sorry for those who have done every single grade. I hope the prices do not increase.

I mean, Grade 8 will be over £50...and if you fail, well it is a huge amount to pay. Plus flute music isn't in those books like piano/violin, and the books cost about £10 each, so an exam could cost you £30 worth of music, plus the exam fee!

In a Music Shop in Sheffield, tehy had the regulations/information booklet for next year, so, I picked one up. The prices have increased again.
I am not really suprised with inflation though....but is a price rise of about £2 nesscessary?

considering the number of exams payed for, no. £2 isn't much to one person but as hundreds if not thousands are taking exams that's a big gain...
