I like the pieces and think that I do better i those, but I don't find them easy! I like that part because you get to show the examiner what you can do, and if something goes wrong I can generally save it, unlike other areas of the exam!
I also like sightreading.

You can even make a simple scale sound interesting. It all counts in performance.

Pieces A&B not the study. I don't mind scales but I hate aurals. SIght reading is ok dependent on what is in it.

My study for G5 is unbelievably easy too - I'd say it's about as difficult as the one you're doing...there was a Weissenborn study on the list - no 20 i believe, in F# minor...goes up far too high in my opinion...

One of the Grade 3 studies used to be grade 4! its the otehr from weissenborn.

I prefer the pieces as I have worked on them and I can show off my strengths. I don't mind sight reading either.
