and brought a clarinet.
I was advertised in the local free paper for £30. I went and tried it and i got it for £30+books. the model is a boosey and hawkes Regent and plays very well. It just needs a new mouthpiece and a case.
Am I mad?

I wonder what the June instrument will be. Everyone at college will be amused. My parents wern't happy when i told them that I would like this clarinet but they agreed when I said i would pay. I have just got get some more practise now...ooo I oculd join junior band once i learn some notes!!! |

!!! Impules buying at the extreme. However you couldn't have chosen a better instrument - imagine if you'd seen a french horn for £30!

I would love to play something else, which is a woodwind instrument, or even a piccolo, but I don't think my parents would let me and I wouldn't have time!

Talking of bass instruments, I'd love to play the bass flute, they make a lovely sound but cost at least £4000!

They have alto and bass flutes in one of the flute choirs *swoon*. I got invited into it last year but couldn't do it  . |
