this morning, i had a piano lesson and I had to play this bach piece with loads of semiquavers and stuff and I couldn't do it at all! i tried it about an hour later and i played it perfectly. ]does anyone else have problems like this or is it just cos i'm so bad at mornings?

I tend not to practice early on, as I find it difficult enough to make some coffee, let alone play semi-quavers! I don't think anyone is 'good' in the mornings - functioning, maybe, but not awake and alert. After a coffee, some sugar, and a toasted bacon sandwich (with plastic cheese in the middle - and tomato - and lettuce), I find I'm ready to take on the world - or the Vivaldi concerto at least...

I don't think anyone is 'good' in the mornings - functioning, maybe, but not awake and alert. my sister is annoyingly good in the mornings! she gets up at 7 without out parents shouting at her and practices her flute or something for half an hour! And she's cheery all the time!

ouch! not good...I doubt I'd make it through the day if I got up at half six - I'd have to sleep in the afternoon like old people...

I get up at 6:30 too! Well depends, I went through a couple of weeks of waking up at 5. If I've had enough sleep I'll wake up, and that's generally bout 6:30.
I like mornings, if I stay in bed I feel awful and don't get motivated the whole day. If I get up straight away, I feel great!

Sometimes I wish I could play early in the morning/late at night, but I can't as people are wanting to sleep. Sometimes I have lessons at 8.30am, I have had one at 8.15am before, and I sound so terrible then!
