Which one didya learn first? I learned harmonic first and didn't need to learn any melodics until I did G5 piano last year. I'd been playing harmonics for about 5 years, which is why I think I find melodics harder.

I prefer harmonic by a long shot...easier to remember, don't have to change going up and down...if someone asks I'll do a melodic for them but given the choice the #7 wins hands down.

Once you know harmonic, melodic is easy because only the 6h and 7th note changes.

im sorry,i disagree with you again
harmonic is relatively ok once youve learnt them coz they are the same up as down
melodics are obviously different, they arent even the same as harmonic going up. i know exactly how to work them out...i know variuos ways but that doesnt make them any easier to learn

Yeah, ask me to sing a melodic scale and I'll struggle!
I'm not really exposed to music at home, unless I'm the one playing it, and melodic minors seem quite alien to me! I can't make my ear hear the sounds properly.

I can't sing either. My wrists have been playing up too, so sometimes when I want to play for longer I can't!

It's annoying isn't it?! A boy from band sorted mine out for abou 30 mins, but all I know was that he did some physio with it, so I can't do it myself!
